Jin Jun Mei Black Tea

The Rarest Treasure of Black Tea

JinJunMei Black Tea

Origin: Jin Jun Mei tea originates from the wild tea trees growing on the plateaus of high mountains, at altitudes ranging from 1500 to 1800 meters, within a 565-square-kilometer area centered at Mt. WuYI National Nature Reserve.

Harvesting Time: Early Spring, between 5 to 7 a.m. when the tea leaves are not exposed to direct sunlight, within a 30-day window from early February to early March.

Handcraft: The skilled tea pluckers only hand-pick the newly emerged tea buds and young leaves, typically one bud and two tender leaves at the top. One tea plucker can only harvest around 2,000 tea buds per day. The tea is then entirely handcrafted by the master, with over 50,000 bud tips required for every 500 grams of Jin Jun Mei tea.
